If you use the contact form on mattburd.com, we collect your name, email address, and message content. We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not use it for marketing or share it with third parties.
Chatbot & Interactive Apps
If you interact with the “André 3000” chatbot or other AI-powered tools on this site, we may collect your messages or inputs and interaction patterns (clicks, duration). This data is used to improve the tool's performance and is not sold or shared with third parties.
2. Analytics & Tracking
Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
We use GA4 to collect anonymous traffic data: browser and device type, general location (city/country, not precise), which portfolio sections you view, session duration, and referral source. GA4 uses cookies to track activity across sessions. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Extension. Data is retained per Google's default policy (14 months).
reCAPTCHA v3
Our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA v3 to prevent spam. reCAPTCHA may collect device data and interaction patterns to verify you are human. See Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA & CPRA)
California residents have the right to access, delete, and opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal data. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data. To submit a request, email matt@mattburd.com with your name, the specific request, and proof of California residency. We will respond within 45 days.
6. Children's Privacy
mattburd.com is not directed at children under 13. If we become aware that a child has submitted personal information, we will delete it immediately. Contact matt@mattburd.com if you believe a child has submitted information.
7. Data Security
We use HTTPS encryption on all pages and secure DreamHost server hosting. No sensitive payment information is stored on this site — all payments are handled through BurdsNerds.com. No online service is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security against all threats.
8. Data Retention
Contact form submissions are retained only as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry and are deleted within 90 days. Chatbot interaction data is not persistently stored beyond the active session. Analytics data is retained per Google's default 14-month policy.
9. International Data Processing
If you are located outside the United States, your personal data will be processed and stored in the United States. By using mattburd.com, you consent to this transfer. EU residents should review our data practices before submitting personal information.
10. Changes to This Policy

Our Response Process
